Break Free Pelvic Health & Wellness was founded by Dr. Gretchen Brooker, DPT, PRPC in pursuit of passion for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction struggling to find lasting relief in the traditional medical model. Pelvic floor therapy is unfortunately not the traditional standard of care for prevention of many debilitating pelvic floor therapy disorders when it should be, and is even presented as the gold standard of many disorders in research such as incontinence, prolapse and constipation.
We are committed to being a comprehensive team of speciality providers in pelvic health for women in all stages of life, men, adolescents and children. We are committed to excellence in pelvic floor therapy and strive to deliver evidence-based pelvic floor therapy to provide you with lasting relief.

OUR STORY
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with her, and I was blown away by her knowledge of the intricate workings of the human body. Within the first session with her, she was able to give me the tools to relieve my pain through exercises and self-massage. By the end of my pregnancy I felt better than I had for months!
- Schanen S.
There are no words to do justice in conveying the deep gratitude I have in my heart for Gretchen and her healing space at Break free pelvic health and wellness. The truth is there is NO place in South Carolina that I have found anyone who understands Endometriosis and how much this disease negatively impacts your life.
- Maya M.
Dr. Brooker was an absolute joy to have as a pelvic floor physical therapist. Pelvic floor PT was not something I had experienced before, and she calmed all of my nerves, educated me more on my body than anyone has before, and has such a calming presence. She made me feel heard, cared for, and safe each time I met with her. I would recommend her to anyone experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction.
